What is PCOS?

PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is a hormonal disorder that often leads to irregular or prolonged periods with altered ovulation (egg being released from an ovary). This altered ovulation can lead to the ovaries developing many small fluid collections (cysts), further altering hormone levels and often contributing to excess androgen levels.

How long does it take to reduce and manage PCOS symptoms? What are possible results?

Every PCOS patient is different, but we usually see some form of objective progress within 3 months. The goal is to improve severity of the unique symptom mix the patient is experiencing. In common cases this can mean showing early trends towards weight loss and menstrual cycle improvements.

What happens if you don’t manage PCOS properly?
Persistent infertility issues, hair thinning, increased risk of cardiovascular disease and associated with certain types of cancer risks.

We addressed her inability to detox and began to fix abnormal bacterial growth in her microbiome (Klebsiella) while boosting the gut immune system (low sIgA).
