Does Index Health accept insurance, Medicare or Medicaid?

We are able to care for individuals that are eligible to receive Medicare/Medicaid benefits, however, the cost of care received from Index Health is not able to be billed to Medicare/Medicaid by us, or the member. Can Index Health be a primary care physician for me?

Since we are completely telemedicine at the current time, we encourage our members to maintain a primary care doctor, to ensure you have periodic, in-person physical examinations. Additionally, we operate more along the lines of "specialist" care, and frequently communicate with primary care doctors, to maximize the benefit of our care plans.

What's not included in my plan?

The Index Health membership covers your appointments with your dedicated doctor and nutritionist. Anything ordered outside of that will depend on your insurance for coverage. An example of this is our ordering of labs through national labs like Quest/LabCorp/Bioreference Labs. The potential cost to you is subject to your insurance's unique coverage details. If you are uninsured, we do have negotiated rates for self pay costs.

Are the advanced labs monitored for quality assurance?

Yes, the advanced lab companies that we use are all federally licensed under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments service (CLIA).

Can children join Index Health?

While we typically care for members above the age of 18, in certain situations, we can provide care for those who are younger than 18.  Please email us at hello@indexclinic.com and let you know if we are able to serve you/your child.

Are your doctors able to use genomics as part of my testing?

We use a variety of different genomics panels, each with different price points. For more pricing details, please discuss this with your Index Health doctor or email us at hello@indexclinic.com for more details.
